Welcome to SOS Childrens Villages Australia

Our Global Mission

We are the world’s largest charity for orphaned and abandoned children. Together with our supporters, we have been helping the world’s most vulnerable children and families for over 65 years in more than 125 countries.  We were founded in Europe in 1949 to give long-term security and care to children who had lost their homes or families in the Second World War. We now continue this work worldwide, and as a non-denominational and apolitical charity we always respect the religions and cultures of the local community.
