Every four years all of the national associations of SOS Children’s Villages International (some 122 countries) meet in Innsbruck, Austria, the home of the international administration office and training academy. This year the Assembly will be held from 23 to 26 June 2016.
This is an important meeting as the decisions of the Senate management team are reviewed and ratified by the member associations and foreword plans are considered and decisions made for our future operations.
Although our SOS Australia President has attended the Assembly in the past the Australian Board decided that the costs of travel were too high to attend this year and that the funds would be better spent on our children’s programs. Our interests will, however, will be well represented by our SOS International Board member, Mr Thomas Bauer.
A detailed report and photographs will be posted on this website after the Assembly has met.
